Start with the proposed fence line and any association requirements. In Mount Laurel, the township publishes a fence permit checklist and its fence ordinance requires a permit before construction, enlargement or alteration. Keep easements and buffer areas visible on the plan.
Show the proposed fence runs, gates, material and height. Mark streets, boundaries, easements and existing improvements. Ask the township which documents are needed for your property and confirm association review separately.
Confirm approval status, the accepted layout and who will arrange required utility locating. Do not treat this checklist as permit approval. The installer should review site conditions before finalizing the plan.
